Medical Assistants and Medical Administrative Assistants are an integral part of a health care delivery team.
Medical Assistants work closely with doctors in clinics and physician offices. Your responsibilities will include taking patient histories and vital signs, performing first aid and CPR, preparing patients for procedures, assisting the physician and health care team with examinations and treatments, infection control, collecting and processing specimens, performing selected diagnostic tests, and preparing and administering medications as directed. Medical Administrative Assistants provide administrative and clerical duties for patients and the health care office.

According to the U.S. Department of Labor’s Occupation Outlook Handbook, careers in Medical Assisting, both clinical and clerical, will be the fastest growing occupations this decade.
With this training, you will be able to seek entry level positions with many different health care providers. Medical Assistants work in hospitals, doctor offices, labs, educational facilities, home health care, government agencies, public health facilities and other health care firms.
